Gabonese youth
March 24
Free
Our youth are the driving force of tomorrow, yet they face significant challenges in education,
employment, and participation in decision-making.
In Gabon, nearly 60% of the population is under 25, reflecting a demographic advantage that, if
harnessed effectively, can drive national progress. However, youth unemployment remains high,
with many struggling to access job opportunities or entrepreneurial support. Across Africa, over
10 million young people enter the labor market each year, yet formal jobs are limited, making
innovation and skills development essential.
This dialogue will explore how we can equip, inspire, and empower young Gabonese to become
leaders, innovators, builders of a strong agriculture sector and change-makers. We will discuss
access to quality education, vocational training, digital skills, and leadership opportunities,
ensuring young people are at the center of Gabon’s future economic and social transformation.
Join us in addressing the key question: How can we invest in youth to unlock their full potential
and create meaningful opportunities for them to thrive? Your insights and ideas will help shape
policies and initiatives that put young people at the heart of Gabon’s future development.
Together, we can build a nation that empowers its youth!
