Inclusive Governance: Building Gabon Together
A new chapter is being written in Gabon — one of unity, transparency, and shared responsibility.
Under the leadership of President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, governance is being redefined to
bring the people closer to power, and power closer to the people. The goal is clear: to build a nation
where every citizen is seen, heard, and empowered.

“Ensemble, bâtissons le Gabon.”

– President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema
These words are more than a slogan. They represent a commitment to unity, progress, and inclusive
development. They reflect the President’s vision for a Gabon where citizens are no longer distant
observers, but active participants — Bâtisseurs — in shaping the country’s future.

A Government That Listens

Inclusive governance starts with listening. From the capital to the most remote villages, dialogue
platforms are being established to ensure that local voices are included in national decision-making.
Ministries are adopting participatory methods to design policies that reflect real needs, not
assumptions.
Community consultations, regional forums, and digital feedback mechanisms are being developed
to connect citizens directly to institutions — creating a new culture of engagement rooted in mutual
respect and collaboration.

Tools for Empowerment

Governance is not only about institutions — it’s also about providing citizens with tools to succeed.
Through entrepreneurship programs, access to public services, and simplified administrative
procedures, the government is making it easier for every citizen to contribute to national
development.
Young people, women, and marginalized groups are being encouraged and supported to take
initiative, build businesses, create solutions, and lead change within their communities. The
government is there to facilitate, not replace, the energy of its people.

Transparency and Accountability

Trust is the foundation of strong governance. To rebuild and reinforce that trust, transparency and
accountability mechanisms are being prioritized. Budget transparency, anti-corruption initiatives,
public service reform, and improved communication between the state and citizens are pillars of
this transformation. Accountability is not a threat — it is a sign of respect toward the people.
Inclusive governance is not just an ideal — it is a path forward. By bringing citizens closer to
power and placing power in service of the people, Gabon is paving the way for a more united, just,
and forward-looking society.
